  Employee Cost-Savings Suggestion Program

The Illinois Department of Corrections is continuing its implementation of the Employee Cost-Savings Suggestion Program.  This program is designed to achieve potential savings through employees submitting cost-saving ideas.  It is the responsibility of IDOC to operate efficiently and reduce agency spending in this economic climate.  All employees are encouraged to identify opportunities to lower and cut costs that will benefit IDOC operations.  All suggestions will be reviewed by a Labor/Management Committee.

Employees can send their cost-saving ideas by filling out the electronic form below and clicking submit.  Please be thorough in your explanation and, if possible, provide an estimated cost savings. Please submit only one idea per submission.

Thank you to all of the employees who have already contributed their cost cutting ideas for IDOC.  We appreciate the time you have taken and your creative solutions to save money for this department.  Due to the large number of duplicated suggestions, there will no longer be a tracking number associated with each submission.  Please continue to submit your ideas and there will be updated posts on the changes that have been implemented.
